Apply for a free place on an A-level Chemistry revision course and access structured exam preparation support for 2026 exams.
Supporting ambitious students in the final push to exams
At this stage of the academic year, most A Level Chemistry students are working hard – but not all revision is equally effective.
The difference between grades often comes down to:
- How well students apply knowledge under exam conditions
- Their ability to avoid common mistakes
- And how clearly they communicate answers for marks
Over the past few years, I’ve worked with many students who were already capable of strong grades, but needed more structure, clearer exam technique, and targeted support to reach their full potential.
This bursary is designed to support exactly those students.
What the bursary includes
- 1 fully funded place on a May half term A-level Chemistry one-day revision course
- 3 runner-up prizes of full access to the Exam Prep Hub
Together, these provide a combination of:
- Live teaching
- Structured revision
- Exam-standard practice

About the Exam Prep Hub
The Exam Prep Hub is designed to support students alongside their independent revision, with a strong focus on exam technique and high-level application.
It is particularly suitable for students working at B grade and above, including those aiming for A and A*.
Students receive:
- Structured topic guidance and targeted practice
- A dedicated calculations course
- Exam-style assessments with full walkthroughs
- An extended response practice booklet with exemplar answers
- Two full sets of practice exam papers (Papers 1, 2 and 3)
- Access to predicted papers, with full walkthrough solutions
- Live group exam preparation sessions before each paper (sessions are on the Saturday before each final exam)
The aim is to provide clarity, structure, and realistic exam-standard preparation—helping students translate their knowledge into marks.
Who is the bursary competition for?
This bursary is aimed at students who:
- Are studying A-level Chemistry (AQA, OCR A, or Edexcel) and taking final exams in summer 2026
- Are working towards strong grades (typically B and above)
- Are motivated and engaged, and want to improve further
You do not need to share any personal or financial information to apply.
How to apply
Students are asked to complete a short application (100–200 words) outlining:
- What they enjoy about chemistry
- Their future goals and aspirations
- How this opportunity would support them
Deadline: Monday 4th May
Winners announced: Tuesday 12th May
Shortlisted students may have a teacher contacted briefly for verification.
For teachers and parents
If you know a student who would benefit from this opportunity, please feel free to share it.
This bursary is intended to recognise motivation, potential, and commitment, and to provide structured support at a key point in the academic year.
A final note
There is no expectation for a polished or perfect application.
Clear, genuine responses that reflect a student’s interest in Chemistry and their goals are far more valuable than carefully crafted answers.
