Who is this for?

Why take a mock now?
How would you do if your chemistry mock was tomorrow?
Most Year 13 students sit their school mocks between December and February, and the first time many of them try a full, timed paper under exam conditions is the mock itself. That’s a stressful place to find out what you’ve forgotten from Year 12.
It’s also getting harder to practise on questions you haven’t seen. Past papers are the ‘gold standard’, but most students have already worked through the recent ones (or seen the answers online), and a paper you half-remember doesn’t tell you much about what you actually know.
These mocks are written from scratch, in proper exam board style, and they only test Year 12 content. So it doesn’t matter which Year 13 topics your school has started – you won’t be tested on anything you haven’t been taught. You will, however, be tested at A Level standard, because that’s how your Year 12 content will appear in your real exams.
Sit them over half term and you’ll know where your gaps are while there’s still plenty of time to fix them.
What you get
- Two unseen mock papers for your exam board (AQA or OCR A), each worth 50 marks
- Multiple choice and structured questions, including calculations, practical skills and an extended response question – just like the real thing
- The full mark scheme for each paper, available the moment you finish
- An evaluation sheet to turn your marks into a revision plan
- A 90 minute live session on Saturday 31st October, where I walk through the trickiest questions and the exam technique that picks up (or loses) the most marks
- The chance to send me your own questions before the live session
How it works
- Book your place for AQA or OCR A.
- Your papers are released on Friday 16th October – sit them whenever suits you over half term.
- Sit each paper in one go, timed, with no notes. (Yes, really. That’s the whole point!)
- Mark the paper as complete and the mark scheme opens straight away. Mark your own paper and fill in the evaluation sheet.
- Send me any questions you’d like me to cover.
- Join the live session on Saturday 31st October to go through the papers together (this session is also recorded).
- Use your evaluation sheet and feedback from the live session to make a revision plan for the ‘real’ mocks.
