Planning your revision for A Level Chemistry

Revision planning is not an easy task, and I’m not convinced that the advanced notices really helped a lot for A Level chemistry. So, to help you out with your exam prep I’ve put together a revision planner for A Level chemistry which you can download for free.

What does the revision planner include?

Monthly pages:

There’s a monthly page for each month between now and June. Each month has an area of focus for your revision so that you cover everything you need before the exam – the focus also moves from general revision into more exam practice and application as you get closer to the exam. The revision planner is specific to your exam board so you cover what you need to. It also includes the dates for each exam so you can see what you’re working towards.

Weekly Revision Planner:

The weekly planning page can be printed out as many times as you like so that you can be more specific with your planning for each week – using your monthly planner as a guide.

Ideas for revision activities:

Don’t know how to revise? At the start of the planner is a list of ideas for different revision activities so that you keep your revision varied and don’t get bored or frustrated by doing too much of the same thing. There are ideas for effective note making, retrieval practice and exam practice activities.

Where do you go to revise? The planner includes lots of useful links – the best websites and YouTube channels to use, resources from my website and a link to a folder of Quizlet flashcards – AND I’ll keep updating these resources by emailing you more materials relevant to the weekly topics.

The calendar also includes the dates for my online masterclass sessions – if you really want to perfect your revision I recommend you look ahead to booking these as well, but you don’t need to book to download the revision planner. The sooner you get started, the better you’ll feel about revision!

In Year 12? Are you in Year 12 looking for help with mock revision or revising for AS exams? Don’t worry, the Year 12 planner is coming soon – sign up for my newsletter so you don’t miss out.
