OCR A and AQA Chemistry A Level – Predicted Paper Downloads now available for 2025

I’m about to head to the airport this evening, because about 9 months ago I had a crazy idea to book on a trip I wanted to go on, even though it was right before exams season. It’ll be fine, I thought, lots of time to get the predicted papers done for this year before I go…

I haven’t packed yet, but you don’t care about that – here is the news on Predicted Papers for 2025:

  • AQA papers 1, 2 and 3 are ready for download.
  • OCR A papers 1 and 2 are ready for download – if you buy all three I will email Paper 3 by end of May.
  • Papers 1 and 2 for both exam boards also have walkthrough videos – if you want the walkthroughs, make sure you order the right set of papers.

Got questions about the 2025 A Level chemistry predicted papers? Read on below for a few I’ve tried to, er, ‘predict’…

What exactly is a ‘Predicted Paper’?

I will be honest – I don’t like the term ‘predicted paper’. I find it gimicky. I have always tried to be honest and authentic in the support and resources I offer for A Level chemistry. But it’s 2025, and if you don’t jump on bandwagons you’ll never be featured in search engines!

I can’t promise I know what will be on each exam, but guess what – nobody can, except the people who wrote it.

What I can say is that I spend HOURS and HOURS going through past exam papers. I have complicated spreadsheets which I combine with 20 years of experience as a teacher, tutor and examiner. I look at trends and I have attention to detail. In short, I’m a scientist, so when I make a prediction it’s based on evidence. I then work hard to produce papers that feel authentic and match your specifications. I also get other teachers to give me feedback before I release them.

Why release papers if the full set isn’t ready?

The process of making the papers takes a lot of time! But, nobody sits all 3 chemistry papers at once – I know some teachers want to use the papers before study leave with students, so I decided it was better to make some available rather than wait until I get back. All three AQA papers are ready to download and for OCR A Paper 3 will be available by the end of May.

What is included in the walkthrough videos?

The walkthrough videos for the A Level chemistry predicted papers take you through the questions with more explanation that you get in mark schemes. I basically go through the questions in a similar way to how I would work through them with a student I’m tutoring, thinking of questions you might have and also similar types of questions you could get asked. I like to make sure my papers are available with and without walkthroughs, so people who don’t want or need them can buy a cheaper set.

Are last year’s papers also available?

The predicted papers for the last two years are also available along with walkthroughs AND I’ve thrown in the calculations and extended response booklets with these packages, giving you squillions of hours of exam practice questions to get you ready.

Will you be doing revision sessions for the papers?

Yes – as well as the intensive small group revision classes in May half term, I’ll also be doing larger, affordable revision sessions a couple of days before each exam. Make sure you are signed up to my mailing list so you don’t miss out on any details!
